Plans and/or coordinates the use of land, water and related resources to provide opportunities for the creative use of leisure time outdoors, with due regard to protecting and enhancing the quality of outdoor environments for the enjoyment of people. Work requires knowledge of: pertinent aspects of economics, sociology, and other social sciences in assessing demand for outdoor recreation; practices of natural resource conservation involving development and coordination of programs to provide recreation resources; and techniques of area planning.
